ID and Cafe Mamba
Just to let everyone know...

Cafe Mamba has become really strict on their ID policy, so if you look under 21 (which means they ask nearly everyone) then you WILL get asked for ID. And if you haven't got any then YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN, simple as.

I know this is annoying but there is nothing we can do about it, in the end of the day it's their job.

Acceptable forms of ID: Passport; Driving Licence (photo); Portman Card

WEEKENDER STREET TEAM
Are you interested in live music, great DJs, free CDs or making a difference for the Taunton music scene?

If so we need some help, we are looking for a couple of peeps to help us out with spreading the Weekender word, putting up posters, handing out flyers etc. You need to be local to Taunton and have a real passion for music.

In return your get free entry to all our nights, free CDs and even (if you lucky) some business cards!

NEWS: WEEKENDER LAUNCH ALL-AGES SHOWS
Weekender Promotions presents an All Ages Night - Weekender Revolutions - At Cafe Mamba, Taunton.

These nights are held on the first Monday in each month to show off the best young talent in the area. Doors 7.30-11pm. Bands on stage 8-10.30pm.

NEWS: WEEKENDER MAGAZINE RE-LAUNCH MAY 2006
Weekender, Taunton’s only youth culture magazine re-launched in May after a prolonged absence. Filled with reviews, interviews comment and bile on subjects ranging from music, politics, cinema and Sport, Weekender Magazine aims to promote, support and criticize all aspects of Taunton’s political and cultural scene.

Weekender is currently seeking a new batch of contributors to take the magazine through its re-launch and into the future. If you have an interest in journalism, writing or photography, or simply have a subject on which you would like to comment, Weekender provides a forum for you to express your views and show off you talent. No subject is off limits or taboo, be it local, National or International, off beat humour, scathing satire, and down right rudeness is admired as highly as serious, well-researched articles.
