The Francos Playing live at Cafe Mamba on Thursday April 26th Formed in Bristol, The Francos take their name from a local barbershop, however all similarities to close harmony singing, straw hats and bow ties end there. More so a shambolic pile of youthful glory delivering adrenaline injected live shows. Hook-laden riffs and sing-along choruses ensure everyone goes home whistling and humming... Mixed Up was released in November 2006 on native independent SugarShack Records, the debut single perfectly showcasing their frenzied, sparkling guitar-pop. Website | MySpace | Listen |

The Pistolas Playing live at Cafe Mamba on Thursday May 10th The Pistolas established themselves in 2006 as one of the most energetic and dynamic live bands playing the scene. Too feisty to be artpop but too melodic and crafted to play the punk scene this four-piece are a brazen blast of distorted dance artrock that takes its pointers from Ramones, Gang of Four, Valentines and Pixies without any notion of being retro. 'Listen Listen' was released on Fierce Panda last year and featured on Artrocker's 'Labels' compilation. New tracks like 'Disco Assassin' demonstrate new songwriting depth while losing none of their gritty urgency. Surely 2007 will be a great year for them…” Website | MySpace | Listen |

Seagull Strange Playing live at Cafe Mamba on Thursday May 31st Formerly one half of Nude Records act King Louis, Seagull Strange frontman Dan Telling started his current project in the solitary confines of his home studio. After coming to the attention of Oxford based independent label Shifty Disco, a selection of these home recordings were made available in the form of two well received E.P.'s:the first, a download only release at the tail end of 2004, entitled "Think Happy Thoughts", followed by a physical E.P. release, eight months later, entitled "Animals". By this time Seagull Strange had evolved into an all-knowing, all-powerful, 6 piece band, who when not giving their all on a stage near you, spend their time fighting crime and injustice, battling the forces of darkness, and standing up for all that is good and righteous in the world.
